PLABRevisions
Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 May 2026 · Operator: PLAB Revisions Education Inc
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding contract between you and PLAB Revisions Education Inc ("we", "us", or "PLAB"), a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and govern your use of the PLABRevisions website at www.plabrevisions.com, the PLABRevisions dashboard at dashboard.plabrevisions.com, and any related services we provide (collectively, the "Service").
PLABRevisions is a product within the MedRevisions family of medical-exam revision platforms. PLAB Revisions Education Inc is the sole operator and contracting party for the PLABRevisions Service. Each product in the MedRevisions family is operated by a separately-incorporated entity, owns its own copyright in the materials it publishes, and is solely responsible for its own contractual obligations. Use of PLABRevisions does not give you any rights with respect to other MedRevisions-family products, and a subscription or purchase made on a sister product does not entitle you to access the PLABRevisions Service.
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, completing a paid subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you:
- are at least 16 years of age;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction;
- are using the Service for personal study purposes (typically as a medical professional, doctor preparing for exams, or medical student);
- agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
If you are accessing the Service on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that person or organisation to these Terms.
2. Definitions
- "Content" means everything we make available through the Service, including questions, answer explanations, study notes, mock exams, AI-generated outputs, visual aids, articles, guides, source code, branding, design, audio, video, images, and any compilation or arrangement of the foregoing.
- "Subscription" means a recurring paid plan that entitles you to access the Service for a defined billing period (1 month, 3 months, or 6 months).
- "Generation Pack" means a one-time purchase that adds a fixed number of AI-generation units (subject notes and mock-exam debriefs) to your account balance.
- "User Content" means anything you submit to the Service — bookmarks, flags, notes, feedback, prompts to AI Professor, and similar.
3. Your account
You must register for an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at contact@plabrevisions.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account that you should reasonably have prevented.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Prices are listed on the pricing page and are denominated in US dollars. Where you pay from a non-USD account, your card issuer will calculate the exchange rate.
Auto-renewal. All Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, on the same payment method, until you cancel. We send a renewal reminder email before each renewal where required by law.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time from the account page or by emailing contact@plabrevisions.com. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which the Subscription ends and you will not be charged again.
Refunds. We offer a goodwill 7-day refund window on first-time purchases of a Subscription, provided you have not used a substantial portion of the Service (defined as: more than 50 questions attempted, or one or more AI generations consumed). After the 7-day window, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Generation Packs (one-time purchases)
Generation Packs are one-time purchases that top up your AI generation balance.
- Pricing is fixed at the time of purchase. The amount you pay and the number of units you receive are shown before you confirm payment.
- Units stack and never expire while your Subscription remains active.
- Pack purchases are final and non-refundable. Because units are credited immediately and consumed at your discretion, refunds are not available for purchased packs except where required by law or as a goodwill gesture at our discretion.
- Automatic refunds for platform failures. If a generation fails for a server-side reason (a transient model error, infrastructure outage, or content-policy block), the unit is automatically refunded to your balance.
6. Intellectual property and copyright
All Content made available through the Service is the original work of, and is owned exclusively by, PLAB Revisions Education Inc or our licensors. PLAB Revisions Education Inc holds and actively maintains its own copyright registrations in respect of the PLAB 1 preparation materials it publishes, separate from any rights held by other entities in the MedRevisions family. The Content is protected by copyright (including, where registered, by formal registration with the relevant national copyright authorities such as the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, the U.S. Copyright Office, and the UK Intellectual Property Office), trademark, database rights, trade-secret protections, and other intellectual property laws of Canada (including the Copyright Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42), the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and any other applicable jurisdiction. We have invested significant resources in developing this Content, and we vigorously enforce our rights.
6.1 Limited licence granted to you
Subject to your full compliance with these Terms and continuous payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Content solely for your own personal, non-commercial study. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any Content or any intellectual property rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6.2 Your User Content
You retain ownership of any User Content you submit. By submitting User Content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, and display that User Content for the limited purposes of (a) operating and improving the Service, (b) reproducing it back to you, and (c) anonymised aggregate analytics. We will not publish your User Content publicly outside your account without your consent.
6.3 AI-generated outputs
When you ask the Service to generate a personalised note, debrief, or AI Professor response, the resulting output is generated for your personal study use under the same limited licence in section 6.1. You may not redistribute, publish, share with other users, or use AI outputs to train any other AI system. Outputs may contain errors and are not a substitute for clinical judgement — see section 10.
6.4 Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, email contact@plabrevisions.com with subject line "DMCA notice" and include: identification of the work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by uploading malicious code, running denial-of-service attacks, or sending high-volume automated requests;
- impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or create accounts under false pretences;
- harass, threaten, or abuse our staff or other users via support channels or feedback features;
- use the Service to develop a competing product or compile a comparable database.
8. Medical and professional disclaimer
The Service is an examination revision aid. It is not medical advice, clinical guidance, or a substitute for professional judgement. Drug doses, indications, contraindications, and clinical pathways change continuously. You must verify any clinically actionable information against an authoritative current source — for example the British National Formulary (BNF), NICE clinical guidelines, the BNF for Children, or equivalent national formularies — before applying it in patient care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any clinical, financial, or other consequences of using information from the Service in patient care.
9. Service availability
We aim to make the Service available continuously, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for planned maintenance, security incidents, or third-party outages (including outages of Google Cloud, Stripe, or Google Gemini) without prior notice where necessary. We do not offer a service-level agreement (SLA) or service credits.
10. Suspension and termination
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your Subscription or emailing contact@plabrevisions.com. We may suspend or terminate your account, immediately and without refund, if we reasonably believe you have:
- materially breached these Terms;
- shared, sold, or otherwise misused your account or our Content;
- used the Service unlawfully or to abuse other users or staff;
- chargebacked a legitimate transaction in bad faith.
Sections 6 (Intellectual property), 8 (Medical disclaimer), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of liability), 13 (Indemnification), 14 (Governing law), and 15 (Dispute resolution) survive any termination.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all Content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the Content is accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, or goodwill;
- our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PLAB Revisions Education Inc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service or Content, including any unauthorised redistribution or commercial use, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
15. Dispute resolution
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Before filing any formal claim, please email contact@plabrevisions.com with a description of the dispute and the resolution you are seeking, and allow us 30 days to respond. If we cannot resolve the dispute within that period, the courts of the Province of British Columbia, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property rights.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent material change. For significant changes (price increases, material new restrictions, changes to the limitation of liability, or changes to dispute resolution) we will notify you by email and provide a reasonable advance notice period. Your continued use of the Service after the notice period takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your Subscription before the changes take effect.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms confer no rights on any third party.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet or infrastructure outages, natural disasters, war, or government action.
